26 MAY 2017. IN THE CASE OF ADVERSE WEATHER OR OPERATIONAL
DISRUPTIONS, THREE ALTERNATIVE TIME WINDOWS HAVE BEEN PLANNED.
OPERATIONAL SIMULATIONS HAVE SHOWN THAT THE DEPARTURE CAPACITY OF
FRANKFURT MAIN AIRPORT WILL BE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 42 TAKE-OFFS
PER HOUR DURING THE TIME OF THE COMPLETE CLOSURE. 
ALL AIRLINES USING FRANKFURT MAIN AIRPORT ARE URGENTLY REQUESTED TO
CHECK WHETHER IT IS POSSIBLE TO CANCEL CERTAIN FLIGHTS (ARRIVAL AND
DEPARTURE) DURING THE TIME OF THE COMPLETE CLOSURE ON 25 AND 26 MAY
2017 AS WELL AS ON 27 MAY 2017, WHICH IS THE SECOND DAY OF THE FIRST
ALTERNATIVE WINDOW.
ANY CANCELLATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THIS MEASURE WILL NOT HAVE A
NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE 'GRANDFATHER RULE' FOR SUBSEQUENT SCHEDULING
PERIODS. IF IT BECOMES OBVIOUS THAT THE DEMAND FOR DEPARTURES IN THE
OPERATIONAL HOURS DURING THE FULL CLOSURE WILL EXCEED 42 TAKE-OFFS
PER HOUR, AIR TRAFFIC FLOW MANAGEMENT MEASURES WILL BE IMPLEMENTED.
THE EXISTING NIGHT CURFEWS WILL REMAIN UNCHANGED DURING THE TIME 
OF THE CONSTRUCTION MEASURE.
